Christianity began with Jesus Christ and His teachings. The uniqueness of the Holy Spirit empowers the believer to live a life of sanctification and to witness for Christ (Romans 12:1-2; Acts 1:8).
Christianity has many differences from other religious beliefs, which sets the members apart from other entities. What is most unique about it, is that Christianity makes the individual adapts to the characteristics and personalities of Jesus Christ as he or she is able. It is not a life to be lived without His presence and direction, or the indwelling Holy Spirit (John 15:5b).
Therefore the responsibility of the Pastor is to teach spiritual principles to the members and guide them as a shepherd to follow those teachings. He is to prayerfully follow the admonition in I Peter 5:3 in caring for those whom God has placed into his hands.
The Pastor's work is often challenging, and extremely demanding. Nevertheless, it is a holy calling with eternal blessings.
The nature of the work requires faith and self-control since he will face people with various kinds of needs, and of different nature.
Still, with God by his side, he will not fail in his calling.
